Last 2 weeks of First Term

I can hardly believe that we have come to the end of our First term in P1.  It has gone so quickly and we have achieved so much these last 8 weeks.  Our first day seems so long ago.
These last 2 weeks we have been revising all our sounds and common words.  We have been doing lots of active numeracy and active literacy activities as well as enjoying our last couple of sessions of Forest School.
We won't have Forest School in Term 2 so our PE days are now Tuesday afternoon with Mrs Cairney and Friday morning with Mrs Thomson.
We finished off this term with some Tae Kwon Do.
 Little Red Riding Hood and granny all safe from the wolf and other animals.

Gruffalo Crumble

As you may know before the school closed we had been doing a lot of work on 'The Gruffalo' by Julia Donaldson.  One of our activites was to write a recipe for Gruffalo Crumble.  We had to write out the ingredients needed and the utensils we would use.  Lastly we had to write clear instructions on how to make it.  Once we had our recipes, the real work began.....making our own Gruffalo Crumble Cakes! We had lots of fun making them but perhaps more fun eating them!
